I am totally new to this so bear with me please...I hope to get more savvy at this as I go along.

Yana deserves the best. For those that don't know me, my name is Lisa. My husband Matthew and I have five gorgeous children here on Earth and one in Heaven. Four of those children came to us through adoption. Three of them having Down Syndrome. Our two youngest boys have
DS and our Angel Carmen left this Earth 37 short days after birth and a difficult cardiac surgery, she
also had
DS. Andrea Roberts started this all, but I did help her a little by starting the group on
facebook. Just a small way of helping. The reason for this blog is that we have decided to start the process of trying to adopt this beautiful little girl. She looks so much like my children...and for the first time, my husband actually agrees. I just found out today that I can use my own agency for our adoption of
Yana. So here it goes...Tomorrow I make the call and it all begins. Pray for us please!!!

ReplyDeleteYana is gorgeous. I've been drawn to her picture myself when visiting Reece's Rainbow. So glad she's found a home. We lost our beautiful 2 1/2 year old DS daughter in September. How my heart longs, not only for Laynee, but for Down Syndrome as well.

I am so sorry for your loss...we lost our daughter in 2008, she also had DS. It took us awhile to learn how to deal with it. It's a day by day struggle. Thank you for your prayers. There are children with DS all over the world, including here in the US. When the day comes, maybe you could be thier saving grace.
